Pipeline: Production Plan

Pre-Production
1.)  Script
Finalise the story

2.)  Story Board
Visualise the actions/ events in the script
Evaluate the script: Are there any problems? Do we need to make any changes to enhance the story?

3.)  Designs
A ‘look’ should be agreed on for
Characters (need model sheets with final design, proportions, series of action poses)
Props
Backgrounds
Other visual elements

4.)  Animatic
Place backgrounds and characters into the storyboard
Film/ edit with sound
Make any necessary adjustments for timing of each shot, plan out action sequences and soundtrack
Use Adobe After Effects for placement, timing and effects, then move into Adobe Premiere for sound design

Production
5.)  Pencil Tests (Animation)
Roughly drawn animation using Adobe Flash Professional

6.)  Cleanup
Using Adobe Photoshop, replace sketchy lines with accurate clean ones
Make sure work is consistent with regards to design and perspective

7.)  Inking
Again using Adobe Photoshop, colour approved frames

Post Production

8.)  Compositing/ Final Edit
Bring animation, final backgrounds, and any effects together on Adobe After Effects

9.)  Sound
Add soundtrack/ sound effects to final edit using Adobe Premiere Pro
